Streets of Tbilisi, Georgia

Photo diary of the captivating streets at Tbilisi, Georgia.

It was a complete bliss just simply walking and roaming around the different avenues in Tbilisi. What I love the most is that they are able to preserve almost all of the old buildings and that there is a beauty of nature everywhere. I’ve been always fascinated with the European architecture as it’s quiet grand from medieval monasteries and Renaissance castles to cutting-edge modern design. It was like a dream just simply walking at a long street full of old and picturesque buildings. I remember entering a very old building at Shota Rustaveli Avenue and the interiors inside is really stunning but upon roaming inside like a lost tourist I was informed by the security that the said building is private and not a tourist spot. I even sat down outside Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre listening to the classical ballet music that’s being played. In every part of Tbilisi you will see the influence of Persian and Russian Empire. Tbilisi is the capital city of Georgia but unlike any other city it’s different in a way that it won’t make you feel the hustle and bustle of a normal big urban area. Most parts of it are quiet and calm. Also the tall trees everywhere adds up in giving you a warm hug of nostalgic vibe. Each avenue is full of fancy, rustic and vintage coffee shops and restaurants.

If ever you find yourself at Tbilisi, below are the avenues that are worth wandering;

  • Shota Rustaveli Avenue
  • Davit Agmashenebeli Avenue
  • Chavchavadze Avenue
  • And random streets at Old Tbilisi Town

I do hope that the images that I’ve captured below gives you the same feeling and emotions that I’ve had while walking at the streets of Tbilisi, Georgia. Enjoy the visuals!
